Course Description Zürich Marathon 2011

Starting point: Zurich Mythenquai, next to the port Enge.  

The course path runs first via Mythenquai – General-Guisan-Quai – Talstrasse – Sihlporte – Uraniatrasse – Linth-Escherstrasse – Schützengasse – Bahnhofstrasse – Bürkliplatz  – Quaibrücke – Bellevue – Utoquai – Falkenstrasse – Dufourstrasse – Bellerivestrasse – Utoquai – Bellevue – Quaibrücke – Bürkliplatz – General-Guisan-Quai – General-Wille- Strasse – Alfred Escher Strasse – Mythenquai – General-Guisan-Quai – Bürkliplatz  – Quaibrücke – Bellevue – Utoquai – Bellerivestrasse – Seestrasse – and then along the lake through the suburban communities of Zollikon, Küsnacht, Erlenbach, Herrliberg and Meilen and then back vial Bellevue, Quaibrücke - Bürkliplatz – Bahnhofstrasse – Schützengasse – Linth-Escherstrasse – Uranistrasse – Sihlporte – Talstrasse – General-Guisan-Quai – Mythenquai – Finish: Zurich Mythenquai, next to the port Enge.

Course markers: there will be a sign on the right-hand side along the course at every kilometer. First aid stations will be set up along the race course and at the finishing line. Public toilets will be set up at the food stops. There are also several public city restrooms along the race course.
