Zürich Marathon «VIRTUAL RUN» training run
Get familiar with the Zürich Marathon Virtual Run App!

Before things get very serious on April 25, you have the opportunity to complete two training runs.

Why take part in the training run:

  • Set up your smartphone ahead of the Virtual Run.

  • Get a first glimpse of how the App works.

  • Scout for the ideal course.

  • Choose between 5 km, 10 km, or 21.1 km.

  • Should you run into any issue, you have plenty of time to solve it.

Save the Date:

  • 1. Training Run: Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021 (2 weeks before the Virtual Run)

  • 2. Training Run: Saturday, April 17 and Sunday, April 18, 2021 (1 week before the Virtual Run).


Preparation is key:

  • Define the right Settings on your smartphone.

  • Pick your headphones to make the most of the experience.

  • Choose your course.

  • Adapt your running clothes to the weather.

  • Lace up your shoes.

  • Plan your Nutrition.

  • Wear your Virtual Run T-Shirt.

  • Read the Virtual Run Guide carefully.

  • Stick to your training plan, especially for the distances marathon and half marathon.

  • Look for a support person who could follow you and help you throughout the race.
